Flu can be serious in some patient groups as it can lead to further complications. Those eligible for the free flu vaccination includes the over 65s, pregnant women and those with certain medical conditions. Our pharmacists will check your eligibility for the free flu vaccination during your consultation. The NHS offers FREE flu jabs to those over 18 years who meet the following criteria:
- Are 50 years & over (including those becoming age 50 years by 31 march 2022)
- Are pregnant
- Have diabetes or asthma
- Have lung, heart, kidney, or liver disease
- Have a weakened immune system ( or live with someone who has)
- Are in a long-stay residential care home
- Are a carer ( you may be receiving carers allowance , or be the main carer for someone elderly or disabled, or a frontline health & social care worker)
